Support to People on the Autism Spectrum
New Directions provides support to people on the Autism Spectrum. Some individuals may also have an additional mental health needs.
A structured programme of support allows support to be delivered in a personalised way. The team use psychotherapeutic approaches adapted to make them autism specific. Support is tailored to need and supports people to achieve their social care outcomes.
New Directions Autism services are accredited by the National Autistic Society, which provides a Kitemark of best practice in Autism.

Supporting People with a Range of Mental Health Needs
New Directions services work alongside specialists in social care to ensure best practice and innovation in mental health. The team offer direct therapeutic support to people as they make their journey through recovery.
The team use tailored psychotherapeutic programmes of support. Alongside this they look holistically at all aspects of a person’s life and target support to make a positive difference.
Recovery focused practice uses these skills and personal strengths as the platform on which recovery can be built.
